• Developed and executed procedures for multi-modal characterization of Li-ion cells under different operating conditions such as fast charging, elevated temperatures and multiple SoC, SoH
• Performed thermal safety analysis of Li-ion cells subjected to elevated temperature and developed experiments and cell models for physical insights.
• Developed computational fluid dynamics models, consisting of multi-physics and multi-scale interactions in a battery
• Trained and tested data-driven battery models by extensively automating commercial battery solver GeoDICT generating large datasets and training various machine learning models.
• Utilized models for insights into rate-performance predictions, thermo-electrochemical interactions, and life-cycle degradation.
• Interfaced and bridged the computational-experimental gap by performing cell characterization through battery model verification and state of health and state of charge characterization
